Corporate 4U

Corporate 4U had a history of under-performing its Caudwell Group targets for the previous three years. A new MD had been appointed with the objective of establishing the business as the leading independent provider of fixed and mobile telecom solutions to a profitable target business market. The MD brought in Latitude to support the strategy development.

Two-month project involved:
  • clear and comprehensive picture of the structure and trends in the market and the implications for Corporate 4U
  • quantification of the opportunity in core customer segments
  • proposition development based on understanding what was required to compete successfully in these segments and how well Corporate 4U was positioned
  • in-depth sessions with target customers and potential channel partners to develop a number of proposition options
  • modelling the economics and understanding the trade-offs between different strategic options at a revenue and contribution level
  • business case for investment
As a result, the business had a clear strategy to address a valuable target market with a robust business plan which secured a 400% increase in funding from the Group Board. Corporate 4U was subsequently a valuable part of the £400m sale of 4U's non-retail business.

"Latitude demonstrated a degree of clarity, professionalism, simplicity and understanding which created real confidence in the likelihood of a successful outcome. The process of analysing our business, examining the market, identifying clear options, testing the propositions and reaching a fully qualified recommendation was achieved in only eight weeks from start to finish and the quality of the output has been superb.

This was aided greatly by the effort and commitment of the Latitude team in involving and engaging the whole of the Corporate 4U leadership team, all of whom were new to the business.

I would have no hesitation in working with Latitude again or recommending them to any organisation facing the challenge of defining a winning strategy for their business"
